St Germans Community Shop is a small, friendly and dynamic volunteer-based business situated in an historic village in SE Cornwall. We aim to provide a wide range of quality goods with a high standard of service which seeks to both meet and anticipate customer needs.

We are a not-for-profit organisation and since opening in 2010 have given £10,500 via grants to local good causes. In addition we continually raise money for local organisations through counter-top collections. In 2014 we became a Post Office Local and expanded both our opening times and range of services. The Post Office is now open when the retail side is open – seven days a week.

We are particularly looking for volunteers who would be willing to train in the Post Office side of our lovely shop.  No previous experience is necessary as full training will be given.
We are trying to build a pool of Post Office trained volunteers.  Shifts can be regular or irregular as suits the volunteer, and this would help us cover holidays and sickness.
If you think this may be of interest then please pop into the shop and speak to Sara (Manager) or any Post Office volunteer.  Usual shop volunteers are of course welcome at any time.
